Mick Jagger at 65 is an unbelievable thought - and indeed sight - for those of us who remember rock n'' rolls'' bad boy when he first hit the music scene in 1964.
He''s got a powerhouse chart with a formidably confident, pushy, upbeat Sun Jupiter Pluto Mercury conjunction in early Leo. So flamboyant is the word, a consummate entertainer, never happiest than when he''s playing to an admiring audience. His Leo Sun Jupiter Pluto are on the point of a mini grand trine to a Uranus Neptune trine which emphasises their talented and forceful nature further. And his Leo planets oppose the midheaven squaring onto a 12th house Mars in Taurus. Sun, Jupiter Pluto are in the 3rd giving him a sharp, bright mind, a persuasive and confident communicator who could have been a writer if he had chosen. The focal point fixed Mars gives him staying power, determination, single minded persistence and the ability to ensure setbacks while keeping his goal in mind. It makes him a bit of a bulldozer who will push anyone or anything that stands in his way to one side. This strongly aspected Mars also points to his athletic stage performances with Mars'' sporting/high energy drive. It also makes him unco-operative, tending to stir up controversies and run headlong into arguments.
With a restless, quixotic, tricksterish Gemini ascendant with Uranus conjunct from the 12th he was always going to break the mould and be unconventional, though oddly serious as well with Saturn in the 1st. Neptune is in the 5th which makes sense of a music (Neptune) entertainment (5th) career. Neptune squares Saturn giving him a streak of creativity along with a fair amount of anxiety and a hint of paranoia.
His wayward romantic life shows up from Neptune in the 5th which can be evasive about commitment and it also trines his Moon which suggests the same, and it also squares his marriage point of the Sun/Moon midpoint suggesting he''ll always be discontented with what he has relationship-wise. He''s got Venus in earthy Virgo square Uranus which can also be switch on switch off about romance and likes constant change. And he''s also got a Leo NNode is in the 4th so outer achievements were easier for him than establishing a settled home life. A hidden 12th house Taurus Moon suggests a sense of not being mothered as a child yet needing a good deal of tactile nurturing. His Leo Sun Taurus Moon combination is shared by Bill Clinton. His Moon also conjuncts his Mars/Uranus midpoint suggesting an adventurous emotional life where he disliked interference and needs constant excitement; his Moon also squares Venus/Pluto so there''s an intensity of emotional attachment to woman, and square Venus/MC would hit the headlines as much with his romantic dalliances as his musical abilities.
Her has seven children by four different women and is no doubt in Leonine fashion proud of them all - though his Neptune in the 5th also points to a laissez-faire attitude to children.
He was made a Knight by Prince Charles in 2003 much to the consternation of some of his band mates and fans, though it would suit his status-oriented Leo planets. And in 2007 his Rolling Stones tour A Bigger Bang went into the Guinness Book of Records as the highest ever grossing tour raking in $437 million. This tour ran while Jupiter in Sagittarius was trine his Leo planets and moving into his 7th bringing him popularity. And Saturn had been going through his 4th during the planning and execution of the tour starting him on a new 21 year cycle which could see him running and running. However it''ll be interesting to see what happens when Pluto moves into his 8th come 2010 onwards for a decade plus which is usually a trapped time either financially or emotionally. He''s hardly likely to be looking for his next breakfast with an estimated �215 million fortune but it may be he''s hit hard with the coming recession and fall in share prices.
On his astrocartography his Moon IC falls through the Caribbean where he had a house on the island of Mustique for many years suggesting a retreat where he felt comfortable. It also runs through eastern USA. His most successful Sun Jupiter midheaven lines run through New Zealand. Though with his Sun Jupiter Pluto Mercury IC lines through Europe he''s likely to stay rooted here.
His 5th Harmonic is his strongest which is of the creative craftsman - with artistic Venus on the midheaven opposing Pluto and squaring the Aries ascendant which opposes Neptune - so it''s a Grand Square giving him endless initiative and restless drive, a good deal of seductive charm and influence. The 5H has also got a Water Grand Trine of Uranus to Venus MC to Mars in Scorpio giving him an emotional resonance, courage, energy, an uncompromising determination to walk his own road on the dark and dangerous side. It forms a Kite to the Venus Midheaven Pluto opposition which drives him onto greater heights. His 7th Harmonic also picks up the Mars Uranus energy with a close opposition, with Uranus trine and Mars sextile the midheaven - emphasising his need for constant high adrenalin rush in his life through his career.
